Dressed to Shill

Can someone explain to us how a person can spend $100 a month on clothing but only end up with a wardrobe worth $300?

Is this the kind of financial savvy that makes Doc an economic genius? Does "clothing" really mean "booze"?

That's a lot of Vesper t-shirts, friends.

Actually Doc shops the thrift stores for his cloths and anything else he can gleep. He used to brag that he could get his shirts for .50 cents a piece. If there was a booze thrift store he would own stock in it.

Maybe he trades his shirts in, kind of an exchange deal? His shirt for a thift store bargain shirt. Probably trades his shirts in a rotation basis with several thrift stores.
