Doc the Plunderer?

The HHI clowns posted a translation of a Spanish reporter's interview with Jim Goold, the attorney representing Spain in the Black Swan case.

This question caught our eye:

Was Odyssey aware of the illegality of their actions?

To make it clear, and clear beyond any doubt that activities such as those of Odyssey were not authorized and were banned, the Government of Spain issued an official note in the U.S., targeting American companies and citizens through the State Department in February 2004. It said that any alteration is not permitted and any commercial exploitation of underwater cultural heritage Spanish was prohibited.
Now that's interesting. Because it wasn't that long ago that old Doc McManus was flouting a shipwreck he said he found in the Virgin Islands that he claimed was Spanish in origin. Now if this is true, and the Spanish government has forbade any U.S. citizen to pursue their underwater cultural heritage without their explicit permission, then wouldn't Doc also now be squarely in Spain's cross hairs?

We also wonder if this is why all traces of Doc's recent gloating about finding this shipwreck have completely disappeared from the HHI website.

Papers in order, Doc?
