Welcome to History Poseurs Watch

This website was created in direct response to Yahoo's gutless decision to recently censor information we provided to investors of Odyssey Marine Exploration about the questionable actions and behavior of History Hunters International (HH). HH runs an amateur website supposedly devoted to history and archaeology. Unfortunately, however, there's little doubt they're also devoted to the mindless destruction of a company we happen to be quite fond of, Odyssey Marine Exploration, the shipwreck exploration company. Why they do this and how shall be the primary focus of this blog.

History Hunters, or as we shall refer to them going forward, History Poseurs, brooks no dissent. Go to their website, sign up as a member, and try to post an opinion that is contrary to their preconceived notions about Odyssey. The results? The post is removed, the membership is deleted, and the person's IP address is banned so that he or she can't even read what's being posted by the HH thugs. So much for a commitment to the exchange of ideas. Rather than act in an academically open manner, encouraging healthy debate, HH behaves like faithful Stalinist bureaucrats suppressing any view contrary to their own.

Recently they've taken to sabotaging the posts of critics on Yahoo Finance. These posts were nothing more than comments taken directly from the publicly accessible HH website, with our opinion sprinkled throughout pointing out the many inconsistencies, lies, contradictions and illogical reasoning of the HH posts. But even this was too much for them, and somehow they've managed to convince Yahoo to delete the posts, which were increasingly popular among readers on the Yahoo forum.

So we shall examine the words, ideas, and postings of the founders of HH. They may not allow freedom of expression on their website, but they certainly can't stop us from offering our observations and opinions about their obvious hatred toward and mission to destroy a very good company in Odyssey Marine.

For the record: We are in no way affiliated with Odyssey Marine, nor are we paid or endorsed by the company. We do this of our own free will. Many of us, however, are investors in the company with an obvious vested interest in not letting a group of amateur idiots use lies and innuendo to smear and damage Odyssey.

HH Watch wants healthy debate about the complex issues of shipwreck exploration, marine archaeology and Odyssey's most recent shipwreck find, code-named the Black Swan. In that light, we welcome your opinions, thoughts and observations about HH and Odyssey Marine.

Welcome, friends.
